Well Chlorination

Chlorine can be used to treat water and eliminate potentially harmful microorganisms that may be present in your water source. Proper chlorination should be conducted for a new well or when an existing well has undergone maintenance since bacteria present in the ground can get onto the surfaces, and may get inside it.

When working with chlorine, proper safety precautions must be observed. These includes wearing proper clothing, gloves, eye protection, mask and adequate ventilation. In case you are not confident in doing the disinfection yourself, you may contact a register well driller or a water services professional to carry it out for you.
